In September, 2007, Mackenzie McCarter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, FOUGHT the fight of her life... and WON! As the years have gone by, and the check ups have gone well... Melissa and Aaron, (Mackenzie's parents) were starting to feel that this nightmare was behind them... Now, in May, 2012... after some very suspicious symptoms, and multiple tests... Doctors confirmed their worst possible fear... Mackenzie's Cancer has returned! |
Mackenzie's initial battle with cancer has touched the lives of hundreds, and no doubt THOUSANDS of people... Melissa's strength, and their families bravery has INSPIRED soo many...
Mackenzie, her mom and dad, and her brother Jake are ready to FIGHT... and put this 'Monster' behind them for good!! But they can NOT do this without US!!
Mackenzie now faces TWO and a HALF years of treatment once she is in remission, in addition to Cranial and Orbital Radiation. Melissa has had to take a leave of absence from work. The McCarter family has a LONG road ahead of them.
The support, phone calls, texts, and emails... the financial support the first time around... the outpouring of LOVE that they have received throughout this journey has touched their lives, and is a gift that they will never, EVER forget. Now it is time for us to show them this same support AGAIN...
