On August 21st, 2009, The Sweeney family received the news that changed their lives forever...
"Jessica has cancer..."
These are words that they never imagined they would hear in their lives, and was truly one of their worst fears!
Jessica was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, which at her age, and this type of Leukemia, gave them a very good chance of successfully treating this 'cancer monster' (as they came to call it)! So they immediately went into action on, "Operation Kick Cancer's Butt"!!
Jessica has not only been BEATING cancer, but along the way, her story, and the Sweeney's strength, courage, and inspiration will go on to help change the lives of hundreds and maybe thousands of people!!
They have formed, "JessicaRocks", which is organized to help fundraise for TIMMY's FUND and give back to help the over 50 local families that they have met along their own journey...
the AMAZING thing about the Sweeney's, is that Jessica is still CURRENTLY in treatment!!
They are responsible for raising THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars, which is going to help support other families, as they are going through this difficult time!
We have personally known the Sweeney family for almost 2 years now, and watched them as they so bravely fought this battle with childhood cancer. We watched Holly carrying bags of toys to the clinic with her... bringing in cookies and brownies for the other families... We have watched Jason and Holly having to go seperate ways, and spending time apart as a family so that they could keep their other children's lives somewhat normal, and so that Jason could keep working to financially make it through this past 2 years...
Families like the Sweeney's just absolutely AMAZE me!!
Although they have shown STRENGTH, and COURAGE, and FAITH... NOW is the time that everyone reading this story can have the chance to say, "we want to be here for YOU now!!"

Jessica's treatment is coming to an end this year... She is one of the single BRAVEST little girls that We have ever met. Always with a smile on her face. Actually looking forward to her trips to Morgantown to get chemotherapy so that she could see all of her 'hospital friends'. This little girl has an AMAZING purpose, and We are blessed to have gotten to know the Sweeney's, and are PROUD to be listed as one of Jessica's "Angels of Hope"...
